A new Queen Mary School Association was launched on Saturday 9th July 2016 with a scrumptious afternoon tea created by Steve Shepherd of AKS Catering.
A small, but enthusiastic committee has now revived the long-standing association with Deana Whalley as President and Linda Beddows, a former OGA President, as Vice-President.
As well as organising social events and providing a communication network the new association will fundraise to support the work of the QMS archives and AKS Lytham. Membership of the association is free and anyone who would like to be included on the mailing list or who has items to donate to the archive can get in touch with the Secretary, Liz Bickerstaffe. Another of its aims will be to promote the publication of a book on the history of Queen Mary School. Former pupils or staff members are therefore invited to send their written reminiscences or photographs to Liz Bickerstaffe, via email at lizzibick@yahoo.co.uk or to telephone on 01253 713850.
