Lytham Club Day brought glorious sunshine and a wonderful sense of community spirit, with OAKS alumni playing a visible part in the celebrations throughout the day.
Our Heritage Tent proved a popular stop, with a steady stream of alumni dropping in to browse photographs from all three legacy schools. It was a real highlight to see so many people reminiscing, pointing out familiar faces and moments from their school days, and sharing stories with friends, family and staff. For many, it was a chance to reconnect with their time at AKS, with some even returning to the area especially for Club Day and making a point of coming to say hello.
There were so many moments of nostalgia, including one visitor who immediately recognised the iconic green Arnold chairs, laughing, “I can’t believe you still have those!” It is these small but meaningful details that continue to connect generations of OAKS alumni.
Alongside celebrating our heritage, the day also offered an opportunity to look ahead. We were delighted to welcome a number of families interested in joining the school, with many taking the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about life at AKS. It was fantastic to see such genuine interest, reflecting the strength and vibrancy of our school community today.
It was a truly enjoyable day, bringing together familiar faces and new connections alike, and a wonderful reminder of the lasting bond shared across the OAKS network.
