We are pleased to announce that the AKS Lytham Foundation has successfully registered with the Fundraising Regulator, the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The achievement marks an important milestone in the continued development of the Foundation and reflects its commitment to fundraising transparency, accountability and best practice.
The Fundraising Regulator sets and promotes the standards for charitable fundraising across the UK through the Code of Fundraising Practice. Registration demonstrates that an organisation is committed to operating to these recognised standards and to ensuring that fundraising is carried out in a legal, open, honest and respectful manner.
Since its launch in May 2023, the AKS Lytham Foundation (Charity Number 1191646) has focused on widening access to an AKS education through transformational, means-tested bursaries, whilst also supporting projects that enhance educational opportunity and student experience.
Over the past three years, the Foundation has raised more than £434,000 through philanthropic support, grant funding, corporate partnerships and community fundraising initiatives. This latest achievement provides further assurance to supporters, donors and grant-making organisations that the Foundation operates to the highest standards of governance and stewardship.
