We are saddened to hear of the death of Old Arnoldian Stuart Hellewell Bremner who was was born on 02 May 1950 and sadly passed away on 14th August 2023. Stuart started at Arnold School in approximately 1961. He stayed for the Sixth Form then went to Bulmershe College (later merged with Reading University) and became a schoolteacher at Carr Hill, Kirkham.
Whilst at Arnold he was a keen hockey player and diver, representing the school and county and going for England trials at hockey.
He and his wife emigrated to Australia in 1975 where he continued as a teacher until retirement. He was diagnosed with cancer some five years ago but kept reasonably well until 18 months ago.
