Lest We Forget

On Tuesday 11th November 2025 our school community came together for our annual Remembrance Service. At 11 o’clock we fell silent to remember and honour those who gave their lives in conflict.

Guests were welcomed into Senior School to take part in the service held in the OAKS Hall at AKS where we paid tribute to all who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Headmaster David Harrow opened the service with a poignant address followed by a reading from Year 7 student Kaitlyn H.

Our talented Peripatetic teachers performed The Last Post after which wreaths were laid at the memorials as the names of the fallen from our heritage schools Arnold School and King Edward VII were read aloud.

Wreaths were laid by Headmaster David Harrow on behalf of the school, Gary Melling for the Old Lidunians, Anthony Hoskisson for the Old Arnoldians, Deana Whalley for the Queen Mary School Association and Year 12 student William H for the CCF.

The closing prayer was led by Senior Deputy Head Mr McKeown before the Chamber Choir performed a moving musical tribute that brought the service to a heartfelt conclusion.

As one community we remembered with gratitude, respect and reflection, ensuring that we shall always remember them.
